Connect X (Twitter) to Repostit
Updated Oct 22, 2026
X can be both a source and a destination in Repostit: you can send your TikToks, Reels or images to X, or repost what you publish on X to other apps.
Connect your X account
- In Repostit, open Connections and click Add Connection.
- Choose X.
- Sign in to X in the window that opens and approve access for Repostit. Repostit never sees your X password.
- Back in Repostit, the account appears in Connections as Connected.
To add a second X account, sign out of X in your browser first, then repeat the steps. Otherwise X connects the account you’re already signed in to. See why your browser matters for connections.
Before your first repost to X
- Caption length: standard X accounts allow 280 characters. Long TikTok or Instagram captions are cut to fit, so put the important part first.
- Video length: standard X accounts accept videos up to 2 minutes 20 seconds. Longer videos need X Premium.
- Test on Manual: create the workflow on Manual, publish one video, check it on X, then switch to Auto.
Use X in a workflow
- Go to Workflows → Create New Workflow.
- Pick Repost future content (new posts) or Repost existing content (your back catalogue).
- Choose your source, then select X under Destination Platform and pick the account.
- Click Create Workflow.

If X stops working
If the connection shows as inactive or posts fail, reconnect X from Connections. Changing your X password can disconnect it. More fixes: why did my X, Threads, LinkedIn or Pinterest repost fail?
