Create and Schedule a Post with Brief
Updated Oct 22, 2026
Brief is Repostit’s post planner. Where workflows repost what you’ve already published, Brief is for writing a new post once and sending it to several apps at the time you choose. Open it from Post in the sidebar.
The calendar
Brief opens on a calendar of your posts. Switch between 1 Week, 2 Weeks and 1 Month, jump to Today, filter the view, and hide or show campaigns. Deleted posts go to Trash.
Create a post
- Click New Post.
- Give the post a name (only you see it), pick the first account, and write the caption. Add your video or images.
- Click + Cross-Post to add more apps. Each one gets its own version you can adjust.
- Use Preview to see how it looks on each app, and the character counter to stay within limits (280 on X, for example).
- On the right, set the date and time (in your time zone) and, if you like, a campaign, status, label, approvers and notes.
- Schedule it. The post appears on the calendar.
After scheduling
- A queued post is locked so it can’t be sent twice. To change it, click Unschedule & edit.
- Duplicate as new copies a post to reuse it.
- Comments keeps review notes; Post History shows what each app returned.
You can also create and schedule posts from Claude or ChatGPT. See Repostit in Claude and ChatGPT.
