How Many Videos Can You Post Per Day on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook? (2026)

· 5 min read

Quick answer: none of the big apps publish a hard daily limit for videos you post in their own app, but all of them have limits you can hit, especially when you post through a scheduler or reposting tool. Through apps, TikTok allows around 15 posts a day per account, Instagram 100, Facebook 30 Reels per Page, and YouTube has a daily upload limit that depends on your channel’s verification level.

Below are the real numbers for each app, where they come from, what happens when you go over, and how many videos you should post per day to grow.

Daily posting limits at a glance (2026)

App Posting in the app Posting through tools (official API) Max video length
TikTok No published limit Typically ~15 posts per day per account, shared across all tools; max 5 unfinished drafts sent to your inbox per 24h Up to 60 min when uploading
Instagram No published limit 100 posts per 24 hours (carousels count as one) Reels up to 3 min in the app
Facebook No published limit 30 Reels per Page per 24 hours Reels via API: 3–90 seconds
YouTube Daily upload limit, higher for verified channels (not published) Same channel limit, plus each tool’s API quota Shorts up to 3 min; 15 min for unverified long videos, 12 h verified
Bar chart of daily API posting limits: TikTok about 15 per account, Facebook 30 Reels per Page, Instagram 100 per account, YouTube 100 uploads per project

TikTok: how many videos can you post per day?

In the TikTok app there’s no published cap. Accounts that post dozens of times a day do sometimes see temporary posting restrictions, so it’s not unlimited in practice.

Through tools, TikTok says the limit is typically around 15 posts per day per creator account, and it’s shared across every app connected to your account. Two more limits catch people out:

  • 5 pending inbox uploads per 24 hours. If a tool sends videos to your TikTok inbox as drafts and you don’t finish them, the sixth fails with spam_risk_too_many_pending_share.
  • Each tool has its own daily cap of creators. When a tool hits it, you see reached_active_user_cap, even though you’ve posted nothing.

Going over the 15-post limit returns spam_risk_too_many_posts: wait for the 24-hour window to roll over.

Instagram: how many posts and Reels per day?

There’s no published daily limit for posting in the Instagram app. Through tools, Instagram’s official limit is 100 API-published posts in a rolling 24 hours per account, and a carousel counts as one post. (One section of Meta’s docs mentions 50 for carousels, so tools that post many carousels usually stay well under both.) Details and how tools check remaining quota: Instagram Graph API daily limit.

Nobody should post 100 Reels a day. The limit exists to stop spam; it’s far above anything that helps reach.

Facebook: how many Reels per day?

Posting in the app has no published limit. Through tools, Facebook Pages can publish 30 Reels per 24 hours via the Reels API, and API-published Reels must be 3 to 90 seconds, 9:16, ideally 1080×1920, at 24–60 fps. Remember that tools can only post to Pages, not personal profiles.

YouTube: what’s the daily upload limit?

YouTube has a daily upload limit per channel, but doesn’t publish the number. It depends on your channel’s feature level:

  • Not verified: lowest limit, and videos longer than 15 minutes aren’t allowed.
  • Phone-verified: uploads up to 12 hours long and a higher daily limit.
  • Advanced features (ID or video verification, or enough channel history): the highest daily limit.

If you see “You’ve reached the daily upload limit”, wait 24 hours. To raise it, verify your channel in YouTube Studio → Settings → Channel → Feature eligibility. Shorts can be up to 3 minutes long. Tools also have to stay within their own YouTube API quota, which is why some limit how many uploads they make per day; see YouTube API daily limit.

How many videos should you post per day?

The limits are far above what actually helps. What matters for reach is consistency and quality per post, not raw volume. Sensible starting points for short-form video:

App Good starting cadence Notes
TikTok 1–3 a day TikTok has historically suggested 1–4 posts a day; quality drops faster than reach rises
Instagram Reels 3–7 a week, up to 1 a day Reels from other apps with visible watermarks are shown less
YouTube Shorts 1 a day Consistency matters more than bursts
Facebook Reels 1 a day Pages benefit from steady Reels output
Recommended cadence: TikTok 1 to 3 a day, Instagram Reels 3 to 7 a week, YouTube Shorts 1 a day, Facebook Reels 1 a day
Far below the limits, and enough to grow.

If you make one good video a day, posting it on all four apps gets you four chances at reach without making more content. That’s exactly what cross-posting tools are for. See the best times to post on each app.

Post once, stay under every limit

Repostit takes the video you post on one app and publishes it to the others through each app’s official API, with the watermark removed and the format adjusted. A daily habit of one TikTok becomes one TikTok, one Reel, one Short and one Facebook Reel, all well inside every platform’s limits. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed.

FAQ

Is there a limit to how many TikToks you can post a day?

Not in the TikTok app officially. Through tools it’s typically about 15 a day per account, shared across all connected apps.

How many YouTube videos can I upload per day?

YouTube doesn’t publish the number. It’s higher for verified channels; if you hit it, wait 24 hours.

Can posting too much hurt my account?

Posting many near-identical videos can look like spam and spread your audience’s attention thin. Posting the same good video on different apps is different and is normal practice.

Do drafts count toward TikTok’s limit?

Drafts sent by apps count toward the separate limit of 5 pending uploads per 24 hours until you post or delete them.
