Repurpose.io Supported Platforms: How to Check Sources and Destinations Before You Build a Workflow

· 5 min read

“Does Repurpose.io support X?” is one of the most common questions before people build a workflow, and the honest answer changes as platforms open and close their APIs. This guide explains how to check whether a source or destination really works for your content, what the platforms themselves allow, and the requests people ask about most: Snapchat, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Threads, X, Reddit, Discord, Google Business Profile, newsletters and blogs, and newer apps like Lemon8, RedNote and Bilibili.

We do not list Repurpose.io’s current integrations here, because they change. Check their integrations page for today’s list, then use the checks below to confirm the exact route works for you.

How to check if a route is really supported

“Supports Pinterest” can mean many things. Before you build a workflow, check each of these for the exact route you need:

  1. Direction. Can the platform be a source, a destination, or both? Many tools can publish to a platform without being able to read from it.
  2. Content type. Video only, or also images, carousels, stories and text posts?
  3. Account type. Business pages only, or personal profiles too? Groups? Channels?
  4. Plan. Is the route included in your plan and in the trial?
  5. Automation. Does it publish automatically, or only create a draft or a notification you have to finish by hand?

Test the route with one video before you rely on it. A route that works for one content type can fail for another.

What the platforms allow

Some limits come from the platform, not from any tool. No reposting tool can get around these:

Platform What third-party tools can usually do Common limits
TikTok Publish videos and photo posts to accounts that authorised the tool Daily posting limits; some features (sounds, TikTok Shop links) only in the app
Instagram Publish Reels, posts and carousels to professional accounts No personal accounts; trial Reels, collaborator tags and product tags are limited
Facebook Publish Reels and posts to Pages No personal profiles; Groups are restricted
YouTube Upload Shorts and videos to channels you manage Daily upload quota; Shorts length rules; monetization settings stay in YouTube Studio
Snapchat Limited: public profile content, depending on the tool’s partnership Spotlight and Stories access varies
Pinterest Create Pins, including video Pins, on boards you own Video Pins need a business account; links and boards set per Pin
LinkedIn Post to personal profiles and company pages that authorised the tool Company pages need admin rights
Threads and X Text, image and video posts through their APIs Access depends on the tool’s API tier

Requests people ask about most

Stories (Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat)

Stories are the hardest content type to automate. Instagram and Facebook only let tools post Stories in limited cases, and Story content often expires before it can be fetched as a source. Plan Stories by hand and automate feed videos.

Pinterest video Pins

Pinterest works well as a destination for short videos, but each Pin needs a board and ideally a link. Set those per workflow. Affiliate and storefront links (LTK, Amazon storefronts) are best added as the Pin link rather than in the caption.

LinkedIn and static posts

LinkedIn is a good destination for clips with a professional angle. Check whether your tool posts to a company page, your profile, or both, and whether it handles images and documents or only video.

X (Twitter) and Threads

Both accept short videos. As sources they are less common. Check the length limits for your account type before automating.

Reddit, Discord and Telegram

Reddit communities have their own posting rules, and automated cross-posting is often against them. Discord and Telegram work better as notification channels (a link to your new video) than as video destinations.

Google Business Profile

Useful for local businesses that want their latest video on Google Maps. Check whether video posts are supported for your profile category.

Blogs and newsletters (WordPress, Ghost, Blogger, Substack, Patreon)

These are usually handled as “create a post with the video embedded” rather than an upload. Check the result: embedded video, a link, or only text.

Newer apps (Lemon8, RedNote, Bilibili, Odysee, Rumble, Clapper, Vimeo)

Support for these changes fast and is often partial. Ask the tool’s support for the exact route, and test with one video.

Sources beyond social apps

Some tools can use Zoom or Webex recordings, Descript, Canva, SoundCloud or direct file uploads as a source. These are useful for repurposing long content, but they usually need editing before they make good short videos.

When a destination is not supported

  • Ask the tool’s support whether it is planned, and for which content type.
  • Use the tool for the supported routes and post the rest by hand, rather than adding a second tool for one destination.
  • Avoid unofficial workarounds that log in with your password. They break often and can get the account restricted.

Where Repostit fits

Repostit focuses on reposting short videos between the main apps: from TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and Facebook Reels to each other, without the TikTok watermark, plus backup to Google Drive or Dropbox. If those are your routes, you can test them with the 14-day trial, no credit card needed. The features page lists the current destinations, and our help center explains the supported platforms and media types. If you are comparing tools, see the Repurpose.io alternative comparison.

Common questions

Why can a tool post to Facebook Pages but not my profile?

Facebook does not allow third-party tools to publish to personal profiles. This applies to every tool.

Can I repost Instagram Stories to TikTok?

Only if the tool can fetch Stories as a source, which is rare. Save Stories you want to reuse and post them as regular videos.

Is it safe to repost to many apps at once?

Yes, if the content is yours and each copy fits the app it lands on. Start with two or three destinations and add more once the first ones work.

Post once. Repostit shares it everywhere else.

14 days free. No credit card needed.
